I dont know if its relatively new or I have just not noticed before (more likely the latter), but I have been seeing a lot of canned shrimp. In particular, the Wild Pacific Brand. How do they taste? Are they as versatile as canned tuna? I'm not such a fan of tinned salmon as I find the taste to be a bit too strong, and only really succeeds when the salmon is the only 'main' ingredient. (works for fish cakes...not pastas etc).
Also, just so I know, if I do buy canned shrimp, hows the smell when you pop the lid? It took me several tins of strong smelling salmon to realize that it wasnt actually 'off'. Does canned shrimp smell strong?
