I have been eating regularly at this wonderful Persian vegetarian small take-out/eatery run by a Persian family on the south side of Hayden St east of Yonge since it opened 5-6 years ago. They always get glowing reviews. I kept asking the owner if she would give me some recipes but she never did. Then, lo and behold last year she decided to start cooking classes (she said as a result of my prodding for recipes). I took one and it was wonderful as she showed how to make 4 of her signature dishes and gave us all a lot of tips about how to prepare different dishes and how to use Persian ingredients properly.
I got a blast email that Mojdeh Shams, the chef of Camros, is doing to more cooking classes of 6 people each this Sunday. I have no vested interest in this place and they did not ask me to post this. I just find they have some of the tastiest 'home-cooked' Persian vegetarian food I have ever had. Here is the link for the cooking classes. Highly recommended. She doesn't do them very often (I think this is only the third time). Mods: I hope it is okay to post this. It's just a small family-run business and should be supported:
