Yesterday afternoon, I made my first trek out to DiFara's and was expecting magnificence. What I received was mediocrity. The saltiness of the other cheese used overwhelmed the purity of the buffalla mozzarella in both the square and round slices and, in the square, the bottom is terribly oil-laden, reminiscent of Pizza Hut deep dish (albeit with a nice char).
I'm not entirely sure why this place is so beloved, but it's seemingly universally lauded, so I guess the problem lies with me. I urge all of you to keep going though, so that I'll spend less time waiting at Grimaldi's!
