I used to stop here all the time when driving back and forth between Boston and NYC; is it my imagination, or has it gone downhill? We stopped in for dinner last night. We shared some fried plantains to start, which were fine, but not great, and wanted a dipping sauce. Then, we shared chicken tebse and the "vegetarian extravaganza." The chicken was mostly sauce--a not at all spicy sauce at that--and the vegetarian extravaganza was both a very small set of portions and a bit cold. Further, most of the menu now seems to be standard quasi-upscale-restaurant fare, rather than traditional Eritrean dishes.
I have to say, I have a lot of great memories of this restaurant, and I was very disappointed.
