Cafes/bakeries in Jack London Square area?

Mariko | Apr 9, 200311:30 AM     4

Hello. I'm going to be in the Jack London Square area for just a couple of hours on an upcoming Sunday. I wanted to meet a friend at a cafe or bakery (I am a tad obsessed with pastries) sort of place, and I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions? I will have a car (but I don't want to drive too far, since I have 6 hours of driving to do that day anyway), and I will also have my dog with me.

Oh, you know, any suggestions for dinner along the highway that runs from Oakland down to San Jose (880? 680? I always get those confused) or on 101 from San Jose south would be great, too.
