I was at Cafe Jacqueline last night for souffles. First time I ventured there was 2-3 years ago, when the souffle was good and service was slow (but respectful). All in all, it left me good enough memories to want to go there again last night.
Last night I went there with a bunch of foodie friends, dressed like silicon valley geeks (which we are) and received extremely bad service.
We arrived at 8:10 pm, 20 minutes before the reservation, and was told the table reservations were so backed up that we should cancel our reservation and leave.
What happened to the cute little souffle place I remembered? The waiter was rude and I couldn't help but feel like we were discriminated against (hey, there're lots of hardcore foodies within the silicon valley crowd too).
Anyone had a similar experience with bad service there recently? Or is there just one waiter in particular who is rude and doesn't understand that great service should be applied to all customers?
