Cafe Glechik and Pelmeni Noir. Coney Island Ave

jonkyo | Nov 25, 201408:04 AM

I recommend this cafe, on Coney Island Avenue, just north of Brighton Beach and the Q Train. The video below provides for a good introduction.

Pelmeni Noir:

Besides having refreshing tunes from regions of the world that these dishes, emanate from, and the delightful friendly staff, and owner, there is an extensive menu, filled with delights.

I partook of the Jewish Style Chicken Gizzards, prepared in a sauce on the thick to mildly thick side and titled 'stew' on the menu; Moscow Pelmini.

Other items: Kebabs of lamb, pork and chicken; menu sections with a list of items for the following animal meats: chicken; pork; beef; fish and seafood. That is in addition to the long lists of cold and hot appetizers; stews that include rabbit, and pelmeni and vareniki.
