I gotta admit I've become "addicted" to cafe cubano in the past few weeks. I usually get it at Reconcito Cubano at Fullerton and Kedzie. I get a "Double" for just over a dollar, and the double there is a full cup of thick, sweet, coffee. The sweet is not bitter.
Now, most other placed I have Cafe Cubano at give me a thimble full of coffee. One of those little ketchup/condiment containers full. Reconcito Cubano hooks me up with a full cup. (yes I get plenty railed on this).
1. What should Cafe Cubano aspire to? Sweet enough to burn your tongue (like it does at El Marianao) or sweet enough to balance the bitterness of the coffee?
2. Who's got the best in the city?
3. How many cups can I drink before I go into A-fib?
