I did a search and mainly came up with sweets. Does anyone have any creative uses for cacao nibs?(or cocoa nibs depending on who you talk to) or cocoa powder? I'm attending a chocolate themed party and wanted to try something not sweet (uncharacteristic of me I know) but I want to make sure I don't end up in a sugar coma :) Oh, and to add to the fun, whatever I make either has to be finished in a toaster oven or be able to travel 30 min and be held. Extra points for ideas that can be consumed standing up.
So far I've considered doing chicken skewers with mole instead of satay but was also considering a cacao nib cheese truffle? Kind of an updated/bite size take on the cheese ball that was so popular when I was a kid... I have some ice wine to go with the "truffles" - what cheese/s would you pair?
