I was going to go with the recipe with an egg in it because, let's face it, I love eggs.
But I didn't have any in my fridge, so I tried butterfly's eggless recipe instead. Mmmmm!
I fried half a dozen of these, and have half the dough to fry tomorrow (I hope it works just as well!). I'm also going to try putting them in the toaster oven at work to enjoy with cardamom coffee.
These are extremely crispy, and light on the inside. If you like more soft center parts, use a 1" tip instead of the 1/2" I used. I used a star tip with 5 points and ended up with pretty tubular looking churros, so I'm going to have to experiment and see what tips make the prettiest churros. Does anyone have a tip # to recommend?
