My wife and I are getting serious about a kitchen remodel, planned for this summer. We've decided on the Capital Culinarian 48", as we previously had the 30" model and absolutely loved it.
Refrigerator/Freezer columns...we plan on doing two 24" columns and ideally want stainless steel interiors. Any suggestions? We've had a Liebherr fridge/freezer combo before and really enjoyed it.
Thermador and Gaggenau are options suggested by the appliance store. They're really pushing Sub Zero for resale value. We do plan on selling this house in 5-8 years, but resale value is a minor consideration. Maybe we got lucky, previously selling to buyers who were also advanced home cooks and valued our choices.
For what it's worth, we both used to work in the restaurant industry and truly enjoy cooking. We've done two kitchen renovations now, both of which turned out great (if leaving real estate agents scratching their heads when showing...stainless steel backsplash and under-cabinet trim panels, a wall-mounted salamander, restaurant exhaust vent system...)
