Is this a Bostonian thing? Cos' everywhere else I go to have buffet, people do not 'recycle' their used dishes. But Bostonian, being very 'environmental', love to do this.
So, let me spell it out loud for you. This is a hygiene concern. See, every one of us can have infectious disease(s), if you scoop food onto your dirty dishes, it is very likely that the scoop will touch your dish (observe next time), your leftover food, your saliva & your pathogens. Then when you reput the scoop into the food container, the pathogens breed inside it and infect other people later on. Is it really that hard to understand?
And restaurant owners are also to be blamed for this, they should put up a sign saying: "Use new dishes for every trip". But of course that they don't bother to cos' the less dish we use, the less dish they have to wash.
Sorry for venting, just had some really bad food last night at the Kebab Factory. See my other post on the Chowhound - Boston forum please if you are interested in knowing.
Thank you for reading.
