I had lunch today at Buddha's Delight after years of avoiding it. The idea of tofu duck and tofu shrimp and tofu pork just didn't click for me. After all, what's the matter with tofu tofu? And with Dok Bua just across the street, who needs it? Well, I had the Phnom Penh style vegetable noodle soup, and it absolutely knocked my socks off. Wonderful, rich veggie broth full of carrots, turnip, mushrooms, cabbage, tofu and decent noodles. I could eat this stuff twice a day and never miss meat.
