I'm doing a major remodel and can't figure out just what I want for a cooktop/range/stove. I prefer a slide in unit for looks and to consolitate to one gas line. My two concernss are what output for the burners and the necessity for a gas broiler. The broiler bit is fairly straightforward-I just want a gas broiler.
But it seems to me that the slide-in range I've found with one 12,200, two 9,500 and one 5,000 burner might be a little wimpy. I'm having trouble finding something more substantial without tripling my budget. Do I need more BTUs? Are there resource/advice sites to guide me? What is your experience?
