I had brunch today at Saddle Peak Lodge for the first time and it was outstanding. It was two of us, and we shared the rock shrimp, wild mushroom and asparagus frittata and the souffle pancakes with blackberry compote and creme fraiche. The frittata was tasty -- very fresh shrimp, nicely cooked vegetables. The pancake was out of this world: sweet like dessert, the dough was extremely fluffy, reminiscent of meringue. The blackberry compote was sweeter than I expected, almost a jam.
