Hello New Yorkers,
I’m bringing my brother to NYC for the first time for his 50th birthday. He loves great food and service (of course), but nowhere too sophisticated/fancy. I have three dinners to plan… My toughest choice is between Quality Meats, Keen’s Steakhouse, and the original PJ Clarke’s. I know that if I went with the coolness of the historical factor (which he loves) Keen’s would be a winner. But would anyone else care to chime in?
I am not too familiar with NY dining ( I visit once a year) -- but I love Chimichurri Grill for a good neighborhood spot, Kellari Tavern and I loved Lavo the first time then it all went downhill on my second visit. Any suggestions for a celebratory spot somewhere not too far from Times Square / Midtown or neighboring vicinity? Is Puglia’s food any good, or just a gimmicky spot?
Any suggestions or comments would be very appreciated!
