I`m planning a 7-days (maybe a couple of days more) trip to Brittany in the last week of september. The plan is to rent an apartment around St Malo, with a kitchen so that I can cook myself. I need advice for the best butchers (where I can buy agneau de pré-salé), foodshops, bakers etc. I know of Roellingers spice shop in Cancale and Jean Yves Bordiers butter and cheese shops. Im interested in tasting all kinds of regional specialities. We will have a car.
For restaurants Im interested in eating fantastic seafood. Im thinking of Restaurant le Coquillage, La Table de Breizh Cafe.
We can spend a night or two at a hotell if there is things of special interest. Should we go the the south coast? Any thing thats worth a detour?
Im also interested in history and will spend a day in Normandie whatching some WW2-stuff, Im also considering Mont st Michel.
