I spent the latter half of the day quick thawing my turkey in a cooler of ice water and moved to a brine this evening. I placed it in a brine bag, which apparently sprung a leak, leaving a good portion of the turkey uncovered and a huge mess! I placed the turkey in a stock pot, still in the bag as it still has some of the brine. Unfortunately the tail end of the bird is poking out of the pot. Still have 6 hrs until the oven. Any thoughts on whether the poor bird is still edible at this point?
