Bowery . . . its grown on me.

I first went to the Bowery and was a bit underwhelmed. Pricey drinks($8 chimay) and overdone burgers made me stay away and stick to 25 degrees. But, after a few recent post Arclight visits, Bowery has put a smile on my face. Being open late and the chalkboard specials in a casual gastropub setting make it stand out in the area. Service has been(on a weeknight) very accommodating and the 6 dollar peroni's are a relative bargain. The burger has been coming out a bit closer to order(not the best burger in town but pretty solid when not cooked past medium) and that chicken dip is DAMN good. While its not a place I would go out of my way to dine at, if you are hungry and in the area(and its 11pm), well, The Bowery works, it really works.
