Bowery Anyone else been yet?

I read about the Bowery in the LA times and went on Friday night. I guess the guy who designed Ortolan(my favorite) and Is doing the Oinkster in Eagle rock is a partner in it. This is a Cool little bistro. Definately felt like an old New York place, looks like its been there for 30 years, I guess thats what they were going for.

For dinner I had the Bowery Burger and sweet potato fries, both were well above normal. Girlfriend had the omlette w/ onion rings. The rings were great. Not to battery, just right. The service was a little slow but the place was crowded, elbow to elbow, so I gave them an opening gitters pass.

I had a good time and stayed to 11 pm. Total bill was 52 dollars dinner and 3 glasses of wine.

I will definately go back even if just for a late night cocktail.
