Someone left some flyers for a place called Bourbon House in my building. They deliver until 2:30AM and have a very varied menu that includes chinese, thai, japanese/sushi, and italian (yep, gnocchi, tortellini, fettucine). I'm intrigued. There's no address or URL. I google the number and find a place called "$1 Chinese Rice". I call the number on the flyer. They tell me they're on Warren Ave. in Roxbury. I ask if they have a URL. The person who answered said they are called "TheNumber 1 Food" at foodler.com. Why all the different names?
I've had surprisingly good luck at unassuming takeout places before. And it's always good to know of a place that's still cooking when most of the city has shut down. Does this place have a dining room, or is it just takeout? Has anyone had their food?
