Boulangeries/Bakeries - 2017

JerkPork | Oct 31, 201711:45 AM     1

La Meunerie Urbaine on Monkland in NDG was mentioned in one of the opening threads and I finally got around to trying it. I figured instead of replying in one of those threads and having the discussion lost, it would be best to start a separate discussion and we may as well group the bakeries in one thread. I didn't seem to find any recent ones so here it is.

Fantastic bakery, rivals Le Pain dans les Voiles which is my favourite, actually let me rephrase that, it is better than les Voiles. The baguette is one of the best I've ever had, likewise for their miche with Kamut, croissants were just OK, better at Joe La Croute and Kouign Amann. The eclair shell was too soft almost soggy, the Mille Feuille was pretty good though. Their breads are obviously their strongpoint. A huge must for bread lovers.
