So I finally made it to Bouchon Bakery last night to pick up some treats. My boyfriend had the oatmeal/raisen cookie. He said it was good but no different than any other bakery. I had the chocolate chunk cookie which was AMAZING. It was a little crispy on the edgy but mostly soft and chewy. The entire thing was very moist and very chocolatey. Its the kind of chocolate cookie I thought only existed in dreams...I've never been able to find a perfect one before. We also split some other mini chocolate cake with chocolate chips in the middle but it was nothing special.
I've heard City Bakery and Levain Bakery make very good chocolate chip cookies, how do these compare? Is it worth going to either of these places or should I stick to Bouchon?
