After reading all the posts on this board that involve bad wine experiences in Boston area restaurants, I remain amazed at the level and frequency of over pricing combined with a list of other shenanigans a mile long to get extra money from patrons. One wonders where it will ever end.
It baffles me that restaurants prefer to rip us off rather than encourage us to consume more wine. The demand for wine along with most things is elastic.
Reasonable prices will encourage consumption and thus lift restaurant revenues. The cry baby attitude of many restaurants with regard to wine is ridiculous (i.e. we have to over price our wine to stay in business).
Share your experiences here and we can start a movement that will sweep the nation!
