Boston Hound Needs SF and SJ Help!

galleygirl | Jun 19, 200209:42 PM

Okay, I've been good, I've searched the boards..(g) Unfortunately, My computer crashed before I saved the HUGE document, so I didn't save it all...

I'm going to be in San Jose from 6/26-7/3....My host will be working during the day, but chowable nights and weekend...

My ultimate desires are Vietnamese and Dim Sum, both heavy on the seafood....I have been checking, including Limster's List to Vietnamese in SJ, and Melanie's Cheap Eats List in Cinatown, SF.....

Is Na Trang Seafood the best Vietnamese in SJ?
What are the best of the list? ( Vung Tau Restaurant,Nha Trang Restaurant , etc...)

Is Chez Sovan(Cambodian) still as good as it used to be? Are there any other Cambodian places?

Brodard Restaurant in Little Saigon was mentioned. Where is Little Saigon? Is it Milpitas Square? Or is it the corner of Tully and King? Or are they the same place? (Sorry, I find SJ overwhelming!)

What's the best Dim Sum in SJ? Is it Mayflower? ABC Seafood?

And, what's the best Dim Sum in SF, where I will be cruising on my own..Is it YanKing? Is it South Sea Seafood Village? Chinese seafood, any region, that will make the Boston hounds hang their heads in shame?

Best Seafood tacos or burritos in SJ? Best in SF?

Are there 2 locations of the Slanted Door? Is it worth it to get my butt into town for lunch?

And last, but certainly not least, would any hounds care to meet me for an impromptu lunch, preferably dim sum, on Thurs, Fri, Mon, or Tues? SJ or SF.
