Boston really needs a good deli

Boston really needs a good deli

Just got back from New York, and it reminded me how poor the deli scene is in Boston. One place we went to in Manhattan was hidden in the back of a jeweler in the Diamond District, and the potato pancakes, vegetable soup, and cheese blintzes were just way above and beyond anything Boston has.

I do like a few delis around here, such as Maxie's in Stoughton, Rubin's in Brookline (though the prices are high), Joan and Ed's in Natick, and, sometimes, Zaftigs in Coolidge Corner, but I really wish there were more choices in the area.
