Boston V-Day recs for NYC conventioneer

ScienceMike | Jan 4, 2008 07:40 AM

Hi everyone. I'm coming up to Boston from NYC with my SO on Valentine's Day this year. The trip will be for a conference going through the President's Day weekend, and we'll be staying at the Sheraton Boston that's attached to the Hynes Convention Center. Usually for V-Day I'd much rather stay at home, cook a four-course meal, and avoid the chaos (and the rip-offs!) that the worst dining day of the year brings. But alas, this year I will not have that option. My sweetie has already made reservations at Pigalle, but I'm going to ask her to cancel them after reading this post from last year about their $160 prix-fixe:

And so I ask: Where can a working man take a lady for Valentine's Day in this town, within an easy cab of the convention center, and not blow more than, say, $200-$250 all told on a romantic dinner? Thank you so much in advance for your help.
