The place looks gorgeous both inside and outside with clean tablecloths and beautiful buffet tables. The food is inside a nice looking copper pots. Now on to the food
There were MANY selections of food. Three rows of table. One side had something like 25 large pots. The other table had soups, dosas and a few other things. And the third row had the salads, chutneys, sauces, desserts and drinks. I do not remember the name of the dishes. I like the lamb dish in green coloured (spinach) sauce. Also the fried spinach fritters is nice. There were chicken tandoori, chicken maharajah, too many to remember. None were truly outstanding for my taste but they were not bad either. The desserts area had a yummy mango flavored ice cream.
It is quite difficult to sample all the items there as there were so many. This place is a lot bigger than the San Mateo branch where a chowdown was held sometime ago.
A plate of naan was served. Service was excellent: plates were taken away and water filled.
Don't know how it compares with other buffets though as I have not been to too many Indian buffet places. But this place is quite impressive IMO.
