Went to Bocadillos for the 3rd time last week.
My dinner was a dissapointment, I'll stop short of issueing a downhill report but I will say that if Bocadillos' keeps it up, it is doomed.
The last time I was at Bocadillos 4 months ago, the spare ribs I ordered tasted old as if they had been stored unsealed in a refrigerator and then nuked.
This recent ocassion at Bocadillos, I ordered the jamon bocadillo, fried calamari, and flank steak tapa.
The flank steak tapa was good, but the jamon bocadillo and fried calamari tasted of poor quality and poor seasoning. I was somewhat dumbfounded considering that the first time I ate at Bocadillos, the tapas were excellent. Also, it seems to me that the chef at Bocadillos is arrogant, and he is aloof of what his kitchen is churning out. On my previous visit, when I mentioned that the spare ribs tasted old, the chef's remark was "that is the way they taste".
I doubt I will go back. Another prime opportunity blown by an over confident chef-owner.
