Blue Star Cleaning Question [moved from Los Angeles area board]

dyepot | Mar 21, 2012 07:41 AM

I am close to buying a Blue Star range with baked enamel finish but wanted to ask if anyone could advise me about the ease of cleaning the enamel surfaces. I am a commercial fiber artist and will be using it, principally, to dye big pots of wool in my residential studio. I mostly need 6 burners that boil water fast (then turn down to simmer for an hour) and an oven that holds a constant temperature. Because my business is messy - and I am messy - and pots sometimes boil over -- I wonder how durable and easy to clean the baked enamel finish might be? Since it would go in an art studio, color is good ... and I just happened to find a discounted floor model in a color I like. Can I easily wipe away the spills ... or use a little bleach water to clean the enamel? Thanks for any advice.
