Went to Blue Ribbon BBQ in Arlington on Tuesday night and had one of the worst bbq meals I've ever eaten - or tried to eat.
I ordered the brisket sandwich, and received a bun filled with large slabs of fat. I've had the brisket there before and it was passable (I find their pulled pork totally inedible because it's so dry). But this time there was so much fat that I took all the slices out of the sandwich, placed them on a cutting board, and trimmed about three ounces of fat off the slices.
To make matters worse, the meat itself was barely cooked, making chewing a difficult matter.
I knew I wasn't a huge BR fan, but it was late and I was nearby, so I figured I'd give it another whirl and order something I'd had success with before. My mistake, I guess. Chowhounds beware.
