Just wanted to post to say we had a wonderful dinner at BLT Steak last night -- this place has yet to disappoint (and I can't wait for BLT Fish). They start you out with crackers and a divine duck liver pate and then our party of four split some deliciously fresh oysters, a special of stone crab claws and something else that I'm blanking on. Split a porterhouse for two with my husband that was wonderfully done -- dry aged, perfectly medium rare. I know I'll get flogged for this, but I like these steaks over Lugers. Others at our table had the braised short ribs and the filet -- everything was great. Ordered sides of hen of the woods shrooms that were *huge* and earthy. Other sides of creamed spinich and giant onion rings (do these remind anyone else of that toy for little kids where they stack the rings on a pole??) were great. Two bottles of a white burgandy (we've got a red wine allergy in the group) and it was definitely a pricy night but well worth it! I thought the pacing was great too -- we ended up there for 2 1/2 hours and were shocked when we looked at our watches. I just love that.
