Bliss Bistro a Disappointment

Tried out Bliss on Skillman Avenue for the first time since the restaurant changed hands. Major disappointment. The place was very busy, which I thought was a good sign, however realized quickly the staff just didn't have their act together. We were seated right away, and a waiter gave us water. We then sat at our table for 10 minutes before having to flag down a busboy for a menu. No one took our drink order. Then we noticed the waiter who had given us water taking the order for a table that had been seated after us. We never saw our waiter again. What I believe to be the manager finally saw us stranded at this table and came by and
took our order in the most rushed manner. Didn't even have time to write our order down, let alone let us know about any specials or wine list, and still didn't ask us what we wanted to drink. He was running off as we were asking for drinks. My dining companion ordered a frozen cosmopolitan. A huge waste of money, as it's basically a snowcone with very little drink in it. We finally got some bread thrown on our table, with a small dish of mini olives. They look cute, but they're basically just pits, surrounded by a miniscule amount of olive meat. While we were sitting there frustrated, we noticed 2 other tables in a same state of exasperation. The service on one table had taken so long that one of the party members had to leave, since she would be late for post dinner plans. The worst part was we were only made aware of this because she was carrying her dinner plate through the dining room (to have the barely eaten contents wrapped) because no one was coming to her table! I ordered a mesclun salad, which was a measly amount of not so fresh mesclun. I may be wrong, but I was under the impression there was supposed to be paremesan, which there wasn't, but I was too weak to even ask and no one was around anyway. For an entree, I got truffle mushroom ravioli. The raviolis were floating in a sea of sauce. Way too much sauce, but the weird thing is, it was very tasteless, whereas this dish is usually so rich. My companion got the hangar steak. The steak was tender, but just not that flavorful and the accompanying potatoes and vegetables were greasy remnants that should not find their way to a diner's plate. Like crumbs from the edge of the pan. One of the potatoes I sampled tasted like soil. By the end, we were not in the mood to sample dessert. We were afraid it would take another hour just to get that menu. It wasn't until our check was given to us that we were asked if everything was okay, and informed that they were short staffed. I'm wondering if the guy with the ponytail was the owner and if he was I think it's in bad taste that not once did I see him come over to the tables to see how people were doing. I can forgive an off night of service, but since the food was such a disappointment, I don't think I'll be back. Also, this is very petty, but what does it take to hit spell check when you're printing up a menu?
