While I hate passing on heresay, I think it is acceptable in this case. My apologies to anyone I bother.
This weekend I spent a delightful two days with a lady friend on Chincoteague Island. Upon ariving at our bed/breakfast on Friday, I inquired about the restaurants on the Island. As usual, the owner highly recommended AJs and the usual suspects [The Village, Dons, etc]. When I mentioned that I was interested in going to the Blackboard Bistro, the owner cringed as if he had been poisoned. The summary he presented was that "the food was awful", the ambiance [the establishment is essentially the downstairs of someone's house] "was non-existant", and that "she" really didn't know how to cook.
Needless to say, I didn't bother going to the establishment, as I was not in the mood to waste money on a lousy meal.
