Black Pearl opens in Park Slope (kind of)

eeee | Oct 1, 2005 06:08 PM

As I was sauntering down 6th avenue today I was handed a takeout menu for Black Pearl. It is apparently currently open for takeout and delivery, and the man who gave me the menu said the restaurant would likely be open in another week or so.

I don't know if this Black Pearl is related to the Black Pearl in the East Village (where I coincidentally ate some fried clams last night, YUM) but it looks like an Italian restaurant with wood-fired pizza, hot focaccia sandwiches (which are more expensive than the pizzas!) and standard entrees, only a handful of which are seafood-based. There is a fried oyster pizza on the menu, however. They also offer about 12 salads.
