Black and gold(yellow) appetizer ideas for sports watching

corneygirl | Dec 4, 201502:28 PM     7

The local sports ball team has had a historically good year. Getting together with friends for a big sports ball match on Sat. and I'd like to bring an app/snack in team colors (black and gold).

A group of omnivores, casual potluck style beer drinking event for adults. I don't want to have to reheat anything so it should be served cool or room temp. I do have a small (1 quart) crockpot that can hold a dip or something. Don't really like making sweet stuff.

Ideas so far:
1. dumplings with tumeric colored skins and soy dipping sauce. Maybe black sesame garnish to. I don't think these would be that good at room temp.

2. tapenade and some sort of yellow pepper dip with veg or crackers.

3. mini cheese balls one with black sesame or nori coating and one with something yellow (curried chopped almonds? lemon zest and white sesame?)

Thanks for any and all help!
