I was poking around the 99 Ranch Market in Monterey Park and I saw black chickens. The skin really did look almost black. Now, I am used for buying fish, poultry and meats at this market for well less than half of what I'd pay at Whole Foods, but these boids were pretty pricey. It looked like about 8 bucks for about half a chicken. If anyone can convince me that these will create a chow-worthy experience and tell me how to prepare 'em, I'll rush right over and spring for this pigmented poultry.
