Black chicken

Daly City's Ranch 99 sells what they call black chicken which has a blue-black skin. It is sold whole, uncooked and with the head still on. It is quite expensive, around $9 per pound, and its total weight is about one and a half pound. Has anyone ever had it in a restaurant? Or cooked it? How was it prepared and how did it taste? In other words, is it worth its store price?
