Hi, thanks for all the fantastic information here!

Last minute query: Wondering if anyone could recommend a good place for an early (7am) breakfast down around the Embarcadero Center? not a hotel buffet, nor Starbucks/Tully's nor egg sandwich stand-and-eat place either. Dottie's-ish is probably asking too much, but is there perhaps a nice cozy/quaint french-press coffee type of place with good pastries? I know there is Frog-something in the Ferry Bldg which has good coffee/pastries however it unfortunately lacks nice seating. Also not the hugest fan of Noah's. I know, it's a tough call- that's why I'm appealing to the experts!

I hail from Chicago (love Tempos!) and DC (Patisserie Poupon & Breadline are favorites there).

I suppose I could deal with a Cosi or a Corner Bakery type place. There is Boudin in Embarcadero 4... though i'd rather not.

Many many thx in advance.
