My parents are coming for my birthday this saturday and we are heading to see Russia! exhibit at guggenheim. Afterwards we want to go out to eat. My parents and I all love the kind of restaurant with jovial atmosphere, plentiful and delicious food. I love ethnic foods of all kinds and was originally thinking of heading to Ktown, but we went for korean last year, so maybe it's too repetetive. My parents' tastes are a bit more conservative (they love Carmine's but we go there pretty much everytime they visit).
Does anyone know of a restaurant that might provide a celebratory atmosphere with decent food? Maybe some Latin/Spanish food (margaritas/sangria are celebratory enough for me ^-^)? Places near guggenheim would be great (for parking ease) but anywhere else in Manhattan is fine as well.
Thank you so much!
