Big Sugar Bakeshop -- more cupcakes etc in Studio City!

Maxmillion | Jan 24, 200704:12 PM

Big Sugar Bakeshop just opened in Studio City (sort of opposite Mexicalis)

So far I've been in three times and tried something different each time. Way more affordable than Ledas (which I adore) -- approx $1.50-$2.00 per cupcake, from memory. Cookies are $1.00.

Loved the coconut, also the mocha cupcake and the hummingbird one.

They have a massive variety of treats avail, and what I love is that there are small items such as little squares of fudge or small peanut butter buckeyes (didn't try them -- hate peanut butter when it isn't on a piece of wholewheat toast) as well as cupcakes as well as 2 person pies (eg choc mousse or apple crisp) and slices of cake (eg German Choc and Red Velvet) and even whole cakes, so you can completely satisfy a small - medium - large craving, depending on how you feel that day.

They even have a daily blog with info on the daily specials -- how cool is that?

Also, it's a store as well as a bakery. You can get cards and gifts -- candles, coffee beans, tins of fabulous Mirabelle's hot choc, cool aprons etc -- stuff like that.
