We went to Big T's south on Saturday night: the service is good, but I have to say I don't like it as much as the original location.
1. The room has a lot less charm and is less warm.
2. The food is still pretty good, but i'm sure that my chicken was undercooked. The dirty rice is ok, and the pulled pork and meatloaf were very tasty. The cornbread is still great. The onion rings were similarly excellent.
3. The table set-ups are more haphazard, and the flooring leads to loud echoes, especially with the wailing guitars. The music is great, but the ambient noise can get to you.
It beats hell out of Joey tomato's and East Side Mario's though, which we also were going to try (never having been to the latter, and we were with our kids, we thought what the hell) , but they had forty-five minute waits at 530 on a Saturday night. Yeesh.
