(My apologies for sounding like a poorly written FoodTV special)
As I'm sure many of you can relate, we have recently depleted a large chunk of our savings to put the down payment down on our first home. Despite this recent expenditure, I have managed to talk my darling, budget conscious husband into throwing a final Memorial Day gathering for about 25 of our close friends at our soon to be former residence. One catch - we have to do it cheap. Really cheap.
We do belong to a wholesale club, where I'm sure I can pick up ground beef for burgers, chicken, and dawgs and stay well under budget. However, I would love to serve more chowhoundish fare that won't necessarily kill our pocketbooks.
