had dinner here last saturday night and was not wowed. i realize how much prep work is involved in these dishes and i would not like to be the one who must brinoise those veggies. plating was exquisite. some of the flavors were great, most were too muted. portion size is absurd. perfect for an 8 or 10 course tasting, ridiculous for a 4 course meal. ie, shellfish ragout consisted of a 1 inch by 1/2 inch piece of squid, a mussel, 1/2 a clam, a baby octopus tentacle and a few other "morsels" of seafood. there was a smear of green liquid/gel. a ragout in an absurdist way. the only outstanding course were the mains both in flavor and portion size. enjoyed both the short rib and skate. also an excellent wine list.
