Berlin at the end of August

Kurtis | Jun 26, 201710:21 AM     13

We are taking a short trip to Berlin for the opening gala of the Philharmoniker on 25th. (fam of 6 with two elderly parents). We are arriving on the 24th morning, and will depart 27th.

I do have a reservation for Katz Orange on 26th (sat) for dinner. I would appreciate a recommendation for a lunch place on the 25th prior to the concert. It can be a tasting menu or a la carte (though would favor a la cart), and while good food is the priority, it would be great to have good service, ambiance, and a celebratory aspect of it as it will likely to be my dad's (82) last trip abroad. Modern/contemporary cooking is what we like most, but we have diverse palate and some thing very authentic and traditional would also work. For reference, we celebrated his 80th in Vienna at Restaurant Steirereck and still talks about it : )

Many thanks in advance.
