Berkeley - Lunch at Lola's - Fresh Blueberry Pie

One last post about Lolas, my latest infatuation.

They currently have the most perfect fresh blueberry pie. The New Englander in me is so, so happy. Not sweet, just juicy blueberrys and an excellent crust. Whole pies are $20 and worth every penny. Call to reserve as they sell out almost immediately.

The baked goods here really are fabulous. They have wonderful muffins full of blueberries. The madelines would make Proust proud. The chocolate cake is amazing. I stopped by Acme today and looked at the baked goods at Cafe Fanny and Lola's are just so much better. Some of the best baked goods in the Bay Area. Much better than Tartine.

They also have a nice quiche at lunch and some sandwiches. I had a great sandwich on foccacia with their outstanding chicken, mango chutney and cole slaw. So good, so good.

And don't forget, at lunch time Solano Cellars across the steet will let you eat your Lola's lunch with a glass of wine.
