Some might say it's approaching the end of stout season. No, never. I just received a case of assorted Bells beers from a pal who returned from VA/DC (I'm in NY). The mighty, mighty Expedition Stout just knocked my socks off. Wow, depth, flavor and pitch black. Kalamazoo Stout is fine too, just not as "deep" if that means anything. I am going to "cellar" the six I have of 3rd Coast Old ale, a truly underrated and underappreciated style & beer. I have a bottle made at the original location and next winter, I'll have a vertical tasting or is that horizontal? Also, their amber is a great session beer.
