Belated Thanks - London - J Sheekey

A belated thank you to those who gave me their comments/recommendations for my trip to London last month. We ended up having a wonderful early lunch at J. Sheekey the Saturday we arrived - I had the potted shrimp and then bream for a main course. We also had a lovely (and reasonably priced) bottle of Alsatian wine. The service and food were very good - we lingered over coffee to keep ourselves awake.

Other meals - Sunday dinner at Le Suquet - yes, we got our fruits de mer - it was a nice place for a Sunday evening dinner - a number of families etc. We had a light lunch in the Red Room at the Connaught where we were staying. That was pleasant, although the service in the dining room for breakfast was erratic to say the least. Strange at a hotel where all other service was sublime. We were invited to dinner at Toto's in Walton St. - Italian, but I had a delicious Dover sole - struck me as a place with a lot of regulars. Lastly, a quick and reasonably inexpensive lunch at the bar at a Middle Eastern restaurant in Beauchamp Place - including great lamb tartare. We tried to go to lunch at Wilton's one afternoon, but didn't have a booking so, next time ....

Again - thanks for the recommendations.
