I've got the menu faxed here in front of me.

For those who have been, what are some recommendations? I'll report back here!

APPETIZERS: ($3 - $10)
Roti Canai (crispy pancake dipped in chicken curry)

Malaysian curry puffs (stuffed w/ chicken potato curry)

Melay chicken wings (marinated w/ turmeric and curry powder and deep fried)

Penang rojak (malay fruit and veg salad)

Achar (pickled veg with peanut sauce)

Sotong Kangkong (fried cuttlefish)

Satay Tofu

SOUPS: ($8 - $9 each)
Seafood lemongrass soup
Seafood tofu soup
Seaweed seafood soup
Soup Kambing (mutton)

CHEF KEAN'S SPECIAL: ($11 - $16 each)
Belacan Kangkong (stir fried Water Convolvulus (a morning glory type veg) w/ toasted shrimp paste)

Malaysian Chicken Curry (labeled on menu as MUST TRY)

Sambal Petai (sauteed sator beans (petai) with toasted
Malaysian shrimp paste)

Sambal Satang (squid cooked in sauce, shallots, garlic tomatoes, tamarind)

Grilled Tamarind Prawn (listed as house specialty)

Sambal Udang (prawns cooked in malay chili sauce)

Belacan Crab (listed as MUST TRY) - seasoned crab deep fried then stir fried with belacan (google lists belacan as fermented shrimp cake)

Curry prawns in claypot (marinated in coconut curry gravy)

Nyonya Fish (fish in spicy sauce steamed w/ ginger and scallions)

Fish Head Curry (chef's special!) - fish head cooked in curry powder, spices, chilies, tamarind and coconut milk

DATIN'S CHOICE: ($13 - $16 each)
Sambel Belacan Okra (listed as "Lady's finger"??) Stir fried okra w/ toasted shrimp paste and spicy sauce

Datio's Beef Rendang (listed as "family recipe") Malay spicy aromatic coconut beef

Hainan Chicken (stemed chicken w/ chef's ginger sauce)

Sambal Tumis Udang Petai (sauteed shrump w sator beans and chili sauce)

Melaysian Scallion Ginger Lamb- stir fried sliced lamb w/ ginger and saffron

Chili Fish (another MUST TRY!!)- Steamed or deep fried fish w tamarind juice and spicy sauce

Malaysian chili crab

Assam fish head (fresh fish head tossed in asam sauce)

MALAYSIAN FAVORITES: ($8 - $13)
Hokkien Mee (stir fried w thick malay soy sauce and served w sembal belacan)

Mamak Mee Goreng (indian style stry fry yellow noodle)

Char Kway Teow (stir fried flat noodle w shrimp bean sprouts egg and chives)

Wat Tan Hor (fried flat noodle w/ seafood and egg)

Lo Mein (egg noodle with seafood gravy)

Belacan fried rice

Salted Fish fried rice

Datin's Nasi Lemak (rice cooked in coconut milk made aromatic with pandan leaves)

Steamed Hakka Yont Tao foo (steamed stuffed shrimp tofy w light sauce)

Ampang Yong Tou Foo (stuffed bean curd and eggplant cooked in clay pot)

The rest of the menu is misc chinese and generic items ("mixed vegetables", etc) the more interesting items from this list are Mango Chicken, Wild Serai Shrimp, Golden Roasted crab, Chili lobster, Black pepper lobster
