Beer near LAX

cjla | May 19, 2003 11:06 PM

Some family members had an overnight layover at LAX on the way to and from Japan. My husband and I drove out to see them and had dinner (on their way to Japan) and a late lunch(just landed from Japan).

They stayed at the Four Points Sheraton LAX. If anyone cares, the hotel was clean, serviceable and the hotel room what you need for a short stay. I looked at old posts concerning food in the vicinity, but felt doubtful about asking everyone to get back in a car and do more traveling. The Four Points has a restaurant proper and a separate bar/pub area. The food wasn't memorable, but the beer list was. My apologies for not making notes, but the list was extensive! There were forty to fifty beers available, and there was a "beer sommelier".

There was a six beer flight offered. Six different beers, six ounces each --$6.50. I was tempted, but I still needed to drive back home, and domestic projects awaited...

I looked around, but the only menus were large and in laminated holders, and the website does not list the menu. If you're like me, with people to meet near LAX, or even if you work in the area, this might not be a bad idea...
